Jimmy Lyons
Director

Jimmy qualified in 2013 and is an experienced music therapist who works for an NHS Foundation Trust in south London across a number of clinical settings, following his previous role as Senior Therapist across three secondary alternative provision (pupil referral unit) schools in west London. With previous experience in a hospital setting with teenagers with cancer, on an NHS neuro-rehabilitation ward, at a drug & alcohol crisis detox centre, in a children’s nursery, and in a music therapy centre with a diverse range of adult and child clients, Jimmy is highly skilled and experienced in working therapeutically with people from all walks of life.

With a particular interest in the provision of music therapy for children, adolescents and young adults of all abilities across settings, Jimmy enjoys working with the diverse populations that he meets during the week and is a strong advocate for the power of music to enhance wellbeing and affect change. Jimmy is also undertaking additional training as a Systemic & Family Psychotherapist with the Tavistock & Portman NHS Trust, and works one day per week at an NHS Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service on placement in this role. This four year training is expected to be completed in summer 2023.
